Michele Renee?

What made you want to start blogging?

I have always wanted to be a writer. I graduated from college a year ago and found myself lost and confused about what to do with my life. I didn’t have any work experience other than being an office assistant for multiple years. After being without a job for 6 months, I took time to do some serious self-reflection. I found that I had never had time to explore my passions in college. Since I was struggling to find a job, it was the perfect time to start putting more effort into doing what I love.


Why did you want to be a lifestyle blogger? 

I have a major love for other lifestyle blogs and I have always been someone who my friends came to for advice so I thought that perhaps I had something to give to others. I am not a perfect person, and I have been through a lot of struggles but maybe because of all that I have been through I could inspire someone with my words.

I also wanted to differentiate myself from other lifestyle blogs because I have no interest in fashion or beauty so I wanted to stand out by mixing in my passion for spreading awareness about mental health and adventures with my husband. I absolutely love trying new things, so why not share it with my readers?


What was the best thing to happen to you in 2017?

The best thing to happen in 2017 was getting married to my best friend. We had a small intimate wedding with our families and close friends. It was an event that made me realize how blessed and lucky I was to have found the love of my life, and my biggest fan. The second best thing to happen to me this year was gaining enough courage to start this blog! 


What was the worst thing?

The worst thing to happen in 2017 was probably my struggle to find a full-time job. It has been difficult to find something since I graduated, something many other recent graduates go through, but it still sucks when you get rejected job after job you apply to.


Who are you most inspired by? Why?

I would like to say that I am most inspired by my mom and sister. They are two powerful women, who I grew up watching defy all odds against them. In fact, they taught me to be brave and independent and have pushed me to pursue my own dreams and goals.

I hope in February to start an inspirational women series, something that I am pretty passionate about. I love when women lift other women up, and I would love to showcase any woman who has something to share. If you have any women who inspire you, leave a comment below!


What motivates you?

I am mostly motivated by seeing other people push through their own struggles. Odd, I know. Most people don't get their motivation from others.

But I am always interested in how others' overcome obstacles, and I try to implement their strength into my own as much as I can. I believe that if someone, who I relate to, can struggle so much and can find the strength to keep going and come out on top, then so can I. 


What do you do to relax?

My number one thing to do to relax is binge watch shows on Netflix, or Hulu. I absolutely love TV shows and movies. I am not a huge fan of reality TV, but I love a good show that I can follow the storyline. It's just like a book, only with visual stimuli.

After a hard day, I love to get into sweats and curl up on my couch with my water, remote, and turn on a show that I am binging out on. 


What is next for you?

The next thing for me is to grow this blog! After 4 months of doing this, I am absolutely in love. I know that I have a personal story to tell, and I want to share it with my readers, that would be you!
