It's been awhile since I have done a reading list post! But although this month is practically over, I just started indulging in several amazing books. The beginning of this month was a chaotic mess of life and I went through tons of struggles related to health that left me too tired to blog. So to recuperate, and spend time attending to my mental health, I took a short break from blogging. In that time, I started an amazing trilogy and gathered two other books that focus on personal development, which are sure to reignite my fire of passion for blogging.

Dear Maude by Denise Liebig

This book is simply amazing. I originally started reading this because a relative was the author, so I wanted to show some support. But the author, Denise Liebig, is a master of words. She sets up scenes so beautiful and created such a stunning story. Dear Maude is a trilogy, set across multiple years. The trilogy centers around Emily Stanton as she navigates post-graduate life with a mixture of time travel. She becomes the center of a time travelers war and has to fight for her safety and the safety of others.

Overall this trilogy is hard to put down and has left me needing more. If you love books dipped in history, with a hint of sci-fi, and romance, then this book is for you!

Radical Self-Love by Gala Darling

I found this book at my local library. I was intent on spending more time reading personal development books from February and on, so I thought this would be a perfect book to start with. Not only is cover gorgeous, but the mission of the book is motivational.

This book is interactive with varying illustrations, exercises, and techniques to master. I am excited to read this book as it is centered around helping you love yourself more, and bringing that love into other aspects of your life. If you want to start focusing more on your goals than others' expectations of you, then this is the book for you!

Thrive by Arianna Huffington

This is Arianna Huffington's personal story of waking up from living a life centered around money and changing her lifestyle to better suit her personal growth. In this book, she discusses how to juggle your hectic career, and life, with self-care. She stresses the importance of mindfulness, meditation and taking a break every once in awhile.

While I have not read this book yet, I am excited to see what I can take away from it. It is always important to keep up with your self-care and try to make sure that your growth always comes first.
